Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel:
Plot:
After crashing an experimental aircraft, Carol Danvers is discovered by the Kree and trained as a member of the elite Kree Solider.
Six years later, after escaping to Earth while under attack by the Skrulls, Danvers discovers there's more to her past. With help from S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Nick Fury, they set out to unravel the truth
Review:
An interesting take on the origin of a superhero. I really enjoyed the visual storytelling. The Special Effects of This Film Were amazing with the suits that the Kree where. I was really blown away by the visual and how the rotoscoping modelling and VFX were put together.
The Story I felt was lacking and really tried to play it safe with the plot. The Comics of Captain marvel portray a much more gritty hard-ass character that I feel was really feathered down to appeal to a wider female audience.

All in all, a great hero movie. I think they went a bit safe, story-wise. Ties well in with future films, and yet leaves me wanting more.

Spiderman

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse:
Plot:
Miles Morales is a New York teen struggling with school, friends and, on top of that, being the new Spider-Man. When he comes across Peter Parker, the erstwhile saviour of New York, in the multiverse, Miles must train to become the new protector of his city.
Review:
I had very high hopes for Into The Spider-Verse. After seeing it, it surpassed my expectations. The best part of the film is easily the animation. It has so much personality and style. I hope more animated films in the future use this style. There is also some deep and dark elements to the story as well. The film isn't scared to dig into some dark material instead of only trying to appeal to children, and I can commend it for that.
Another great thing about this movie is the characters. Some of the side characters like Spider-Ham don't build that much as characters but they never seemed like lazy characters. They all have their own personality and add a lot to the film. The more fleshed out characters like Miles, Peter, and Gwen are one of the biggest surprises of this film. Most superhero films don't try to flesh out their characters and mostly just try to make them cool.
This movie takes time in developing those characters to make them more likeable. Especially the process Miles went through in this film was really impactful. There are a few issues I have with this film though. For some reason, they blur out of the backgrounds for some of the shots which bothered me because since the animation was so amazing I wanted to watch the environment and take in the art. Although, it may have just been the theatre screen I watched the film on. Another thing is that the film gets a little cheesy near the end, but nowhere near annoyingly cheesy. So, I would highly recommend seeing this film. It's my favourite superhero movie of the past years and my favourite Spider-Man movie.

My Head is Looking Good

Trevs Head coming along I am happy with where it is now to start the first retopo in maya.
I was able to find a solutuon to my legs.
I have a much more narrow hip now and trev should be able to go from all fours to up right pretty easily.
I also started a head for will in Zbrush. As he is my next model.
While I am working on the willmodel i will also begin my bacground and assest models.

Venom

Venom:
Plot:
After a faulty interview with the Life Foundation ruins his career, former reporter Eddie Brock's life is in pieces. Six months later, he comes across the Life Foundation again, and he comes into contact with an alien symbiote and becomes Venom, a parasitic antihero.
Review:
Firstly I really Enjoyed This Film.
The Films Story took a great turn with how they portrayed Venom and Eddie's relationship. The Story was cool and to me felt like everything I wanted in a venom movie as a huge fan of the comics. My one issue with the film I had was the animation for venom as a symbiote. this form lacked any believability to me it always felt like it was stuck onto the film, not in the world. but this was a small issue in a very cool film.

Sculpt The Head cause i hate legs still

Sooo legs are my bane it seems.

With the limited time i have to work on my project with the group film, I am trying to avoid a mistake i made last year where i can become fixated on a certain aspect and stubbornly keep pushing through it. So i am stepping back from the legs and focusing on the head.

I find Zbrush more of a free form work flow that keeps the work relaxing.

Trevs head model is coming along nicely as i start to build up the desired shape.

How To Train Your Dragon

How to Train Your Dragon:
Review:
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a fantastic finale for the film franchise and a beautiful farewell to this beautiful realm of humans and dragons. Seeing these characters evolve over the past two films to where they are in The Hidden World feels not only believable but deeply emotional and weighty as well.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a fantastic, visually stunning and poignant way to end this beloved trilogy. While the young characters remain joyously funny, this finale also adds mature notes to their story of friendship. The franchise has, like its audience, grown up, and to that end this film grapples with more complex themes than before, making for a truly satisfying yet bittersweet conclusion.

Legs will Be The Death of ME

TREVS First big issue:

Trevs legs have become a bit of a pain in my ass.

I am unsure on how to approch them as i need them to function and allow trev to walk both up right and on all fours.

I have attempted a  few approaches which can be seen below:

I will beed to keep looking  at how i will approch this.

The other issue the legs  have is the way i have been approaching them gives trev a very weird looking hip size.

Trev is Coming Along

I got a little excited and began testing how to model trevs head in Zbrush first attempts are looking rough. A huge issue im having is eye sockets. when i get go to smooth them out it completly dwletes them.

I found that if i Z Remesh the model i am able to keep the form somewhat. I will keep repeating this method till i get the required result.

As for trevs body i have begun to get a basic shape. But the 3rd year film along with other classes is limiting my time.
